Who we are:

After owning and operating restaurants and hotels for many years we were unhappy with the service, quality and prices of many of our suppliers. Particularly with suppliers of menu, promotional and table top items. In 1982 we switched to the supply side and started up Az-Restaurant Menu Services with a dedication to provide value, quality and service. We were successful and our growth was steady because we understood what restaurant operators needed and wanted, and made the extra effort to accommodate them. A problem that we encountered was that many restaurant operators just did not have the time to sit down with multiple salespeople and evaluate products, services and prices. From our own experience we knew that one of the few times we could sit back and evaluate products and services was after the dining room closed while we were waiting for the bar to close. But, try to find a salesperson that time of night.

In 1973, the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) initiated the Internetting project. Commercial implementations of the InterNet became available in the 1980's. We perceived this as possible solution, allowing the restaurant operator to shop, evaluate and purchase at his/her convenience... Not in the middle of the lunch hour rush when many salespeople like to show up.

That perception along with our continued commitment to service, quality and value has resulted in a huge increase in our market to the point that 99% of our sales are now through the InterNet and our market reach is now worldwide. This has allowed us to reduce our outside sales force and related costs, passing the savings on to you through lower prices. And, many of our local customers find the service better when they can order on-line at their convenience rather than schedule an appointment during business hours with as sales representative.
